I haven't seen it mentioned in the 2 books I have on strip building (The Strip Built Sea Kayak and Kayakcraft)but I was wondering if stain can be applied to the wood prior to glassing and finishing? I'm a pre-construction beginner, so please excuse this if the answer should be obvious. Tom Janes
