My recent paddling companion (a friend from seminary who will now begin to teach church history at a Lutheran seminary) mistook the Lotus flower on the back of my PFDs (mine and my "loaner", which she wore) for the Luther Rose!

I told her it was really supposed to be a lotus, and she still liked it -- but wasn't as impressed as she had been at first.

Nice looking PFD, Shawn!
