Todd: I bought a whetstone (the larger blade, T-2?) and love it. It is extremely light (<30 oz.) and easy to handle. It pulls through the water with very little flutter, and the shaft has just enough elliptical shape to register in your hands. It looks delicate, but after 5 days of paddling it did not have a mark on it. One drawback is that the edges of the blades are very sharp and actually hacked up my boat in a few places along the sheer. Someone from this group offered up the idea to sand the edges round with 400 grit sandpaper. I'll do this now that I know the paddle is a keeper. The customer service at whetstone is great too. They told me to the day when it would arrive and then sent confirmation and UPS track numbers once it shipped. Their liberal return policy makes me believe that they have a quality paddle that they are willing to stand behind. No need to even comment on the price. Best of success.
