Hi Shawn,
I have made a couple of fiberglass seats and have a new type of seat mold that I am experimenting with right now.
I favor a wax release and have had good results with the Johnson's Paste Wax mentioned in the previous post.
My approach to the molding operation may be of use - I apply only ONE layer of cloth and let it cure only to green stage before removing it from the mold.
Being thin and "leathery" it is relatively easy to break the "seal" between the copy and the mold. I work the copy off of the mold using a loop of coathanger and/or a thin plastic ruler that I have rounded off the sharp corners and edges. After touching up the wax mold release [just incase!] I reposition the copy, smooth it down and continue with the glass layup. The finished copy from the mold after full cure.
Hope this helps.
Hank
