My mistake! I was looking at a printout of Whetstone's web page from 4/19/00, and then the weight WAS 28 ozs.

Obviously they have made some manufacturing changes, since their current webpage agrees with you---25 ozs. Maybe I should wait 3 more months and it will weigh 22 ozs!!
