hey rehd,

I don't consider myself a guru on these issues, but here goes:

the correct brushes are the 1" cheapest type. "made in Indonesia" 68 cents + tax at home depot/ace/etc.

yes. their hair starts to fall after a short while. you can remove the hair before/after the epoxy dries, or if it sheds too much hair, throw it away & use another one. don't use these type of brushes for anything other than epoxy !

yes. you are not going to like that extra expence on brushes.

Never heard of that glen-l epoxy.

perhaps they sell an "extra slow hardener", like other brands that have few types of hardeners ?

I use the system 3 inside my apartment. it's about 75-80 F . never had such problem with it.
