: hey rehd,
: I don't consider myself a guru on these issues, but here goes: the correct
: brushes are the 1" cheapest type. "made in Indonesia" 68
: cents + tax at home depot/ace/etc.
: yes. their hair starts to fall after a short while. you can remove the hair
: before/after the epoxy dries, or if it sheds too much hair, throw it away
: & use another one. don't use these type of brushes for anything other
: than epoxy !
: yes. you are not going to like that extra expence on brushes.
: Never heard of that glen-l epoxy.
: perhaps they sell an "extra slow hardener", like other brands that
: have few types of hardeners ?
: I use the system 3 inside my apartment. it's about 75-80 F . never had such
: problem with it.
: Hey Rehd: we are here so you can experience mistakes BEFORE you make them!

Hey Erez
I think my only mistake here was taking this job to help on someone elses boat. :) It has not been fun, but, it has been an experience. I've learned a lot. Glen-L is a very old boat designer down in the L.A. area. They've had a catalogue of all sorts of boats for many years, and they have their own epoxy mix for their kits as well. My Rob-Roy canoe is one of their plans, but, I went with the Raka for that as well as the Great Auk. BUT......I will use it on the rest of the "8"Ball. Don't know if they have an extra slow hardener or not, but, at this point it's not a consideration. Later, Dude....
