Goo gone

I made the mistake of using fiber reinforced packing tape to hold the hull-deck joint while I taped it. Next time I'll use the plastic pallet ties with the metal clips. I just finished scrubbing every square inch with Simple Green, which I hope got all the tape residue. I recall a thread about Goo-Gone, but couldnt find it. If there is a small spot or two that I missed, will the epoxy break it down on the final coats? Or will it go over it? Or perhaps not go off due to the contaminate?
