Excellent point. I used the acetone because it was handy, but alcohol would be a safer choice. The only alcohol I had at the time was Woodchuck Hard Cider, and I'll be damned if I was going to sprinkle it on the boat! Unless it will still do its job after being filtered through a kidney...hmm...
