: I am building a Great Auk. I've read different accounts on making your own
: seat, as well as what's been posted on this message board as of late. I've
: really enjoyed the building process but feel I can do without trying to
: sculpt a seat (ie. I'm chickening out). Anybody out there got any
: recommendations on a "store-bought" seat and back rest for my
: Great Auk. I am currently using a Current Designs' Storm and find that
: unit's seat and back rest very comfortable. Thank you!

I have been using We-No-Nah's small kevlar canoe seat with the CLC backband. The cost is reasonable and it makes a comfortable seat. ($25.00 +$24.00) I epoxy a small rail down on the keel of the boat with a series of "T" nuts in it. Then I can adjust the seat position. Works great and it is very light.
