I built the diamond paddle from the plans given in the "Kayak Shop." I built it to 8' and use it with my Millcreek 13. It is very lightweight and seems to work well. However, being that I have never tried another paddle, am I missing something in performance etc with this homemade paddle? Would building the asymetric paddle from these same plans be a good idea or should I opt for a store bought paddle as well? I use my boat for touring, fishing, etc.
