The T-1 is nice
In Response To: whetstone paddles (todd)
I've had a Whetstone T-1 for a few months now and I'm very pleased with it. I like the feel of it much better than the Werner Camano I was using prior to purchasing it. It's light, it sculls better and retains less water on the blades than the Camano, and shows very little tendency to flutter. It had a few sharp edges on the blades, but this seems to be par for the course with composite paddles (the Camano was the same way). Ten minutes with some wet/dry sandpaper and everything was smooth as silk. For the price, it's a bargain.
BTW, their paddling jacket is also really nice.
