I hope you have some helpers to work that beam. I accessed a 2"X12"X14' Port Orford ceder plank and was cutting away when after about a half hour my motor stopped and never started again. Big beams like this are very taxing on table saws (even the more industrial types). So take it easy and cut your beam into bite size pieces. This will also give you a chance to get your grain strategy down for the quarter sawn planks that you will eventually end up with.
