Marbles and Bags

Sounds way too messy for me. The aluminum foil is a simple approach. I've used it on gallon cans of varnish with only an inch or two left and have not had any problems.
: Neat ideas Jim and Dennis,(probably the best) but what about putting a
: plastic bag in the varnish, pulling the mouth of the bag up and filling it
: w/ sand so the level of the varnish is always high and you don't lose any
: betw/ the marbles.

: (probably varnish attacks the plastic or you'd 'just' drop a bit of sand in
: it for that bumpy look!)
