Here's nuloc below. I'm not familiar w/ them either, don't know what size etc. But the basic idea modified as before would be very cool. Would work very similar to those cable ties but w/ a release.

Another idea, i wonder if you can buy larger aluminum chicago screws? Like the t-nut is closed in the bottom. The regular ones are prob too small.
