I used System 3 here in SC around June. The slow hardner went on well, with exception of some air bubbles which sanded out easily. When I tried the fast hardner I ended up with an Orange Peel look. It sanded out fine, but that was a pain. I noticed the fast hardner made a thicker mixture and I'm thinking I applied too much in one coat. At any rate, I went back to slow and things were much smoother.

I was not able to obtain a perfect finish until performing the sanding & varnishing routine.

: Would like some pointers for the final fill coat. How does one smooth it. My
: job seems to be "lumpy". Day temps near 90, waiting until
: evening temps fall close to 80 before starting; Using System 3; Humidity ~
: 30-40% Hovered around the boat with foam brush in hand until drag on the
: brush squealed like a scared cat. - Definately past my bedtime. 20 hours
: later the job looks like it will require scrapping and sanding over most
: of the surface. (Coho - in case you are interested.)

: Thanks for the help. Dennis
