This book isn't new -- 1986 -- but the author, George Dyson, did a slide presentation at the Great Lakes Sea Kayak Symposium a couple weekends ago. This guy knows more than even the Aleuts about baidarkas, and a lot about Greenland-style kayaks as well. There are plans and instructions for building a baidarka in the book, but a lot of it is historical as well.
