I really wanted to use 1/8" x 3/8" weatherstripping in the mold and 1/4" x 3/8" in the final installation (like Spidey), but I couldn't find the right stuff. I used what I found, which was 1/4"x1/2" for the mold and 3/8"x1/2" for the final gasket. This made the lip thicker (and heavier) than it needed to be, but oh well. I'm at the mercy of Home Depot. There's a new Lowes opening up soon within walking distance of work, so I'm anxious to sample their wares. If I find thin weatherstripping, I'm buying a small supply.
The weatherstripping feels kinda like a spongier neoprene - I think it will work just fine. I'll probably put a small dab of silicone sealer on the ends where they meet.

: Hey Ross, Spidey: what are the two gaskets both of you guys are using. The
: one for the groove and the one installed later? How are you sealing the
: ends?
