Pete, I built a West River 180 from the plans in Sea Kayaker magazine. Used door skins from Home Depot. Built it as an experiment and test bed. Only problem found was errors in the offset table published in the magazine. Great kayak, fast and holds speed with minimum effort. I am going to build another, even bought plans from CLC. Take your time and enjoy. This was my second S&G kayak. Happy Trails, Dave
