I've never been accused of going with the flow, and I am considering some alternate materials and methods to construct a Kayak. I full expect the results (if I pursue the path) to be really light, durable, quick to build and within the general parameters of home building, but basically butt ugly. There is where my delima lies, having built a very nice stripper and neat S.G., how can I give up the single most appealing attribute, looks? This bbs contains a group of people that construct the most stunning crafts ever launched, so I'm not sure it is the correct place to post methods and results that end in a tupperware craft. If I do successfully build one using the alternate methods, I will post the results (ugly or not) for the board to critque and use.
