She used these latches on her WR 180. I just met Heather and her husband this week at the conference in Aspen, Colorado. They came with her kayaks (WR 180 and North Star from Wisconsin).
These latches looked pretty good but I have some doubts if this system can be really waterproof. She couldn't comment on it since the boat was pretty new.
Anyway, these were first home build kayaks I've seen except my own Patuxent 19.5. It was a nice meeting in the middle of Rocky Mountains.
