: I was once told: I will find people agreeable and unoffensive when I need
: something from them. Others will find me agreeable and unoffensive when
: they need something from me.

: Please note there often is a difference between "how one is found"
: and "how one is."

: ----------------------- George, George, George. Nick was speaking for himself, not you. Of course you needn't feel emabarassed. Nicks boat is not your boat, Nicks work is not your work. Therefore no one can be offended by his statement concerning HIS work. So what is the difference between "how one is found" and "how one is" amongst animals such as us who construct a shared reality through language? How you are "found" or received truly is how you "is". er, then again that depends on how you define is,,,but that opens up too many Bill/Monica jokes.

: If I (and others)did not need Nick's approval to continue posting, I (and I
: hope others) would have said "his embarrasment over appearing with
: his boat was a general slur on the boat building abilities of most of
: those who use this bb."

: Nick's slur is about as offensive as anything posted on this board.
