The ferries are expected to have a back-up too, due to the overflow from the bridge. If you are comming from Olympia, I suggest going up by way of Shelton. Construction on the bridge is scheduled to start on Friday night at 10 pm.

: For anybody who is planning on going to the Rendezvous and driving over the
: Tacoma Narrows Bridge, be aware that next weekend, starting Friday evening
: and finishing Sunday night, they are closing lanes to pave it.

: They just finished 2 lanes this past weekend, and all weekend long there were
: miles long back-ups.

: So, if you must drive over the bridge, be ready to do some waiting.
