I have my third coat of epoxy over the glass (on hull) faired & sanded very well. I was considering using Brightsides but don't care for any of the colors so I have a couple of questions. 1) I was wondering if a high quality oil base gloss enamel would suffice and also if it would be compatible with the epoxy. Does anyone know of any brands that are meant to apply right over epoxy? 2) I don't think I am going to prime for surface correction but do I need to prime for adhesion of the final coat? I don't want to apply a high build primer because it seems to me that it would be softer than the underlying epoxy and compromise the finish hardness. 3) Would the durability and abrasion resistance be significantly better with Brightsides than with a standard enamel?
Thanks for any help Bailey--
