Making a vacuum bagging pump
In Response To: Vacuum bagging paddle blades (Shawn Baker)
I saw an article on an aircraft building site about making a vacuum pump from a used refrigerator or air conditioner compressor pump. Apparently, they work quite well and will draw a full vacuum. You can get them free at most landfills. Just be sure to dispose of any freon properly.
The pump system was called a "Cheap Little Sucker". If I can find the URL, I'll post it here.
