I built the Ches.18 from plans. It tracks exceptionaly well. I am 6'4" and 260 # and sometimes I wish I had built the 17' Ches. The 18 is difinately the big man's boat! I looked at the Pygmy before building but chose the 18 Ches because I wanted to build from plans. I prefer the cambered deck of the CLC boats estheticaly.
