Hello Spidey,

With all due respect, why are you messing with polyester resin? Relative to epoxy it has very poor adherance to wood and is not nearly as water resistant. It is also much more toxic than epoxy, especially the catalyst. Do not get the catalyst in your eyes, it can cause serious problems. Virtually every boat that I have surfaced with polyester/fiberglass has eventually had problems with this stuff lifting off the wood, while I have never had problems with epoxy/fiberglass or epoxy/carbon fiber. It may be cheaper than epoxy, but I think using polyester resin instead of epoxy is a flase economy.
