I'm going to be building a couple of singles this winter, and was considering putting larger than normal hatches in front so a kid could come along on calm water paddles. Maybe using a drop-in, removable seat for them. Don't want to build a double or triple as most of the time it's going to be just me going out.Has anyone done this before? Any good ideas, tips etc? What about the trim of the boat?
