www.selway-fisher.com has lots of designs. They claim that they can adapt most any of them to strip builing and they have some that already have details for this.
Mac Mcarthy has built some melonseed skiffs stripper style. These are absolutely stunning little gunning skiffs from the late 1800's. I really want to build one of these. They are said to sail wonderfully and they should row very nicely and they are truly lovely. You can see a modern version of them here on the web. They are laser-sized with a skeg, wineglass transom, lots of deck, a sprit rig and row locks. do a search under melonseed skiff on alta vista. Mac has some molds for these somewhere, but he does not currently have any patterns printed for them. If and when he gets them they'd be $20.00 I've been asking him for a long time, if he has them. Last time he said that his molds were stacked way in the back under a bunch of other molds.........you get the picture. Anyway offsets for this and many other small old sailing/rowing boats are found in Howard Chappelle's American Small Sailing Craft. Duck trap wood works has plans for a Mantinicus double ender (a version of the peapod). Plans are for traditional or glued ply lapstrake, but I think that the stations are smooth and close enough together to adapt to strip construction. they have designed a small transom option, for mounting a small motor if desired. and peapods will row and sail suitably well.
: Does anybody know any websites that offer plans for or deal with strip-built
: fishing boats? I owe the wife after my current Walrus is complete. The
: only site I've found is Compumarine. Thanks, Tom
