Thanks, Ross, I didn't know of this tip. On both my kayaks I have a few spots where I feathered into pinhead-sized air bubbles, and ended up with whitish epoxy sanding dust trapped in them. I've tried a vacuum and toothbrush to no avail. When varnishing, I've used the tip of a bristle brush to work the varnish in these teeny holes. This usually wets them out, but I missed in a few small spots.
But what about George's recent point about not using thin layers of epoxy? Not as much of an issue since this is topcoating and not structural?
