: patch of fiberglass. Patching may not be easy. The typical method is to
: sand away around the damage and fill the sanded area with several layers
: of glass, but Kevlar does not take kindly to sanding.

You can get a somewhat better sanding result when doing it wet. You utilize one of Kevlar's weaknesses, some strength properties drop remarkably when wet.
