Ken,

On my Merganser I stitched everything together, painted the joints with epoxy, then to be safe glassed on several small tabs at critical spots to make sure it would hold. When the epoxy set and I removed the deck it was pretty stiff and didn't warp much while I did the fillets and glassed the inside.
