Last strip in Auk hull.

Just a quick note to let people know I haven't given up on my "stapleless" and "beadless" great Auk.

Progress has been a little slow due to a new girlfriend moving into home.

However now the last strip has been installed in the hull, it is ready to be turned over and the deck started and her involvement in the deck pattern allows me to get to work on it more.

The hull came together quite well with only a small problem on one side around the stern / keel transition. The strip pulled away from the form a little, while the glue was drying. Hopefully this will be fixed when I turn it over and put a thin fill strip between the form and hull before planing and shaping.

Now just searching the archives on how to do the 90 degree twist on the deck sheer strip without a staple to hold it in place.

Really impressed with Jerry's Auk.
