For those who have asked, here's how I rounded the deck forms of my Great Auk. Not sure of the quality my directions so I included some photos. Without further adue here goes-----
1.I chose the forms that would be part of the round deck, 1 thru 7. 2.Form 1 would be where the round part faded to nothing, form 7 would be rounded to 4 1/2" from the center of the kayak. This was a random choice on my part. You can round as little or as much of the deck as you want by chaging the offest from center on form 7. 3.Next, I stacked the forms with the top edges aligned and centered. Then I drew a line connecting the zero point of form 1 with the 4 1/2" offest on form 7. 4.Using a square I drew another line perpendicular to the deck on each side of the center line on each form. 5.Using the intersection of these lines as the center point of an arc, I adjusted my dividers to scribe an arc across the top of each form. The dividers must be readjusted for each form. 6.I then cut the top of the form off and continued as usual.
