I stripped the ends of my deck. They're flat, which made it easy in my case. If you have a slight curve, you might be able to make a deck beam where the two pieces come together and just do a butt joint on top of the beam. You could sandwich-in a thin strip of wood between the panels in a contrasting color so that the grain differences wouldn't be so obvious.
