Ross,
It seemed that you were impressed with the paint on the Chris Cunningham-design kayak you saw at a symposium/rendezvous. How well, from what you saw on that boat, does the 1-part poly paint hold up? I ask because Chris Cunningham's kayak is used in this month's Sea Kayaker magazine in the towing rig article, and it looks rather rough. I think he used a white primer with a red topcoat, and it looks like there are a lot of dings where the primer is showing through. Granted, this is the same kayak he built for the Fall '94 issue, so it's been used quite a bit. I find it interesting that this seems to be his primary kayak. It's the one in the picture in the editor's article at the start of every issue...
