Hey DJ.
One more (or two) boats to consider is Bolger's Chebacco design. It is a 20' cat yawl that can be built in ply wood tackandtape or glued lap ply. There is a newsletter that is published and is put here on the web. One of the newsletters has plywood lap version that is very nice indeed (Kelani Rose). This boat has a small cuddy cabin and a big cockpit, with a gaff main and a small mizzen.......quite a nice Big little boat. You can see the ply version at HH Payson's pages. I'll see if I can find the address for the newsletter so you can get a look at the lapstrake boat......she's a beaut! Also, Ruel Parker's The Sharpie Book has several sharpie designs that range from small to well over thirty feet. These boats can be built with marine ply and epoxy. They are simple in construction, simple in rig and have a reputation for being fast. They are quite narrow for their length and are very shallow draft. Some are open designs, some have cabins (small though), and some can be built with a removeable cabin top. Parker has a web site.....parker marine i think. garland
: I'm looking for a second boat to build and I decided on a sail boat. I'm
: looking for a boat between 20 and 30 feet long and between 5 and 10 feet
: wide. I hope it to be lapstrake, but I can't find any plans or
: instructions. Can any one help me. Thanks! DJ
