Based on everyone's thoughts, I think I'll try to avoid any more coats of epoxy (I've got plenty of extra from Pygmy's kit, because I bought System Three Clear Coat for the first saturation coat on the fiberglass, and used the regular for fill coats. So the extra epoxy, at least, is not an issue). As for varnishing, I'm pretty comfortable with that, since I did a fair amount of varnishing well before I built my first kayaks (a Mill Creek, followed by an Arctic Tern). Appreciate the advice though. And as for pictures, I'll be glad to post something, although I have to figure out how to do that. I have a few digital ones, and several that I can scan into that format. Advice on getting the pic in?
Thanks again, everyone. Gini
