Thanks. After more research and a look at Baidarka mailing list, a good finish seems to be aliphatic urethane over a couple of sealing coats of exterior satin urethane. Unfortunately the aliphatic stuff seems quite expensive although it apparently yields a virtually unpenetrable surface. Gaco UA7000 was one suggestion. These seem to be 2 part products like epoxy. Did see some one part stuff too though. Do you know if this Ken-seal is similar?
