I was very disappointed, as you might imagine. Lots of extra work, uncertainty as to how much & how thoroughly I covered the hull with PR. The worst aspect was that as I was sanding the ripples out, I ran into softer areas of PR, as evidenced by differing appearances in the sanded surface. Wet sanding with #320 grit brought it all together appearance-wise, but I was not about to buff that surface.
I opted for varnish, and it turned out great today. I just made myself some extra work, it's back on track. You can see the up-to-date hull at my link below - Go to "Finishing" and jump to the bottom. Thanks a bunch for your concern.
