In the middle of a project, I will use a piece of scrap to make quick drawns on something that I do not have fully worked out. Other times when I am in the shop and talking to someone about an idea I have, grab another piece of scrap and make a drawing. Often as not those scraps are thrown back in the scrap bin. In winter when they are burned in the fireplace, those quick drawings remind me of all sorts of things.
