: I disagree about the "dumb" !
: It's not dumb tp go & explore places.
: If I had a kayak, I would go with it everywhere & anywhere !
: well, actually, I do (have a kayak) & I do (go with it everywhere &
: anywhere). I say better go there, see the place & put a little hole in
: your kayak, than not go there at all.
: be proud of your (kayak's) scars 8-)
: If you want to keep your kayak nice & neat, than build a stripper &
: hang it in your garage forever.

The "dumb" part was the getting the hole and not the exploring. It pretty much goes down in the book as an "ohh well", it was meant to get a few dings over time type of deal.
We did manage to see some nice bald eagles and river otters also on the trip though which was cool.
I do plan on building a stripper, and I do plan on taking it out just like any other yak and getting it scrapped up occasionally.
By the way, this S&G is still hung (not above the mantle) but more in the middle of my living room. I did remove the duct tape to help the area dry though since I won't be paddling until next weekend at the Rendevous.
