Hi Pete;
For what it's worth, the varnish remained tacky for quite a while. I checked it every hour or so up to about 6 hours and it was still tacky when I went to bed. The next day (24hrs) it was still soft enough where I deemed I could get away a second coat without sanding, which seems to have turned out OK. I'll post more as I find out more.
