Lets see if this works. This pic is under "progress, slow but sure" thread on Aug 15. The strongback here was built for a Cosine Wherry, and then modifies to add the legs and wheels. It has been one of the most handy setups in the shop. For the Spring Run, I simply set the box strongback on it. When the hull is done, as shown, I can put cradles on it. When not used for boats, I can put a plywood top on it 16' long. And it is so easy to move that, like Ross said, sometimes I have to block the wheels. Well worth the effort to put it together.
: I am currently setting up a 1/2" plywood box strongback and using 2
: support stands and was wondering if there would be problems later if I
: mounted casters on the support legs so I could move the kayak around if
: needed during the building process due to space limitations. The floor is
: somewhat level but not perfect. Thanks Steve
