Jimmy,
If there is a chance that your deck could cure wider than the hull, maybe if the epoxy in the seams is still a bit soft, then it's prudent to tape the deck to the hull. Make sure that you put plastic on the temporary forms and both ends of your yak to keep from glueing the deck to the hull before you intend to. Ricci
