:I just used 1/4 inch plywood 1 1/2 inches by slightly longer than the brace. Glassed both sides and put in stainless t-bolts. Actuallly I glassed over the bottom side of the t-bolts. I epoxied the complete finished piece of wood with the footbraces attached at the same time. I put the boat on edge and set the braces in thickened epoxy and put a heavy weight on top. Good luck!
I saw several boats at R2K with Keeper footbraces without holes drilled
: through the hull. I believe most of these had wooden blocks epoxied inside
