I went to the 24-our HoDePo last night looking for stainless T-nuts. They only had galvanized, but I did pick up some brass toilet mounting nuts and bolts. The head of the bolt is very flat (about 2 mm thick). I could use them and have the bolts pointing away from the hull.
I'm also thinking of doing it the way Mike suggested, epoxying thewhole assembly in at once. If I use the stainless screws that came with the keepers, I wouldn't be able to unbolt the keepers at a later date. Is this a problem?
