The foam that Pygmy sent was too thick. The foam itself protruded above the deck. Also, somewhere along the line the hatch lip on the front is not a consistent depth below the deck. So the silicone offers me the luxury to live with this by giving me a variable thickness gasket.
We'll test it out in Winnepesaukee next Friday. See you there. Thanks for your help.
