: Has anybody tried and had any luck with tape instead of wire stiching

I tried to use tape (both duct tape and packing tape in between the wire. The tape let go when the sun warmed the glue (I was building outdoor with no cover) and also the glue stayed on after sanding and wiped down with alcohol -- what a mess. You may have better luck with name brand products; me, I'll stay away next time. Another way you may try is break-apart internal forms and strap clamps.
