I am seriously thinking about building a cedarstrip rowing boat, with several designs under consideration. My living room would work great for this, but I have received a somewhat more than negative response from my wife on this option. I have a studio built into my garage which would be just big enough to build the boat. If I did that, though, I would have to leave it there as a permanent display, as the completed boat wouldn't go around the corners. I have room outside for a 10'x16' shelter along the side of the house. However, Fall is on its way and Winter will probably follow. My concern has to do with glueing the strips. Wood glues, such as Titebond, seem to be recommended for glueing the strips, but, as I understand it, they are quite temperature sensitive and just won't bond below a certain temperature.
Are there any glues that would work for this purpose which are not temperature sensitive?
Thanks for your help.
